THE PROPERTIES

  • The Vintage is a remodeled 1950s motel-style stay in Port Austin, MI, with three individually bookable units — The Nook, The Stargazer, and The Dunes.

The Canal House is a full canal-front home in Pigeon, MI, about 10 minutes from Caseville, with a private, residential feel and direct water access.

    Explore all of our stays.

  • Each unit at The Vintage is a private, self-contained space — no shared living areas with other guests. Think boutique motel, not a hostel. Common spaces include the backyard fire pit, BBQ grill, and parking area, all shared with fellow guests.

  • Yes, free parking is available at both properties.

The Vintage has open parking out front with plenty of room for all guests.

The Canal House driveway accommodates up to 2 cars — or 1 truck with a boat trailer. Street parking is not permitted at the Canal House.

  • Yes — The Canal House has a private dock on the canal with direct access to Lake Huron. Bring your own boat and use the dock for the duration of your stay, or just kick back and enjoy the water from it.

  • Washer/dryer, indoor fireplace, private dock/boat slip, alfresco dining, sound system, crib/travel crib, ethernet, dedicated workspace

  • Yes, Wi-Fi is available at both properties. You'll find the password in your room upon check-in.

THE AREA

  • We've put together a full local guide covering the best spots to eat, drink, shop, and explore in the area. Check it out here.

  • Both properties offer access to Lake Huron. The Vintage is a short walk from two deeded public beach access points, with the sugar sand shores of Lake Huron just across the road. The Canal House sits directly on a canal leading out to Lake Huron, with a private dock, and McGraw County Park's beaches are just a short drive away.

Beach access is also specified in our Local Guide. You can also download an offline map here.

  • The region is heavily wooded and cell coverage can be spotty. We recommend downloading an offline map or printing directions before you leave — it'll navigate you to the property and around the area automatically, even without service.

The Vintage is a shared property with other guests nearby, and The Canal House sits in a quiet residential neighborhood. Treat it like your own home to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits.

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any of our properties — a $1,000 fine will be imposed for any violations. If you smoke outdoors, please be mindful of fellow guests and neighbors.
